This location is naturally a coconut rich area because of its favourable soil and weather conditions as well as natural irrigation systems. Different waterways cross the area bringing water from the South China Sea for the coconut palm trees, reducing the need for additional watering. 

These coconuts are mostly harvested for their meat and milk, then burned to make space for new harvest. But there is another solution; To upcycle these coconut shells and create an all natural gift – organic tea light holder.

These coconut tea light holders are made from organic coconuts, in a location that has naturally optimal conditions for coconut palm tree farming. We use otherwise wasted material, generate additional income for local people in rural areas and reduce the need of burning coconut shells. The coconut shells arrive to us by sea freight, which is slow but the most ecological transport currently available. We have planted trees to offset the co2 from the transport.
